Pakistan Floods 2014

Plagued by flooding for the past four years, again poor villagers in Pakistan are being tested with a new disaster. Monsoon rains and breached dykes have resulted in the flooding of countless villages in Northern Pakistan, affecting over a million people. Further flooding is feared as more rain is expected and as waters flow down the river systems into the rest of the country.

Hidaya’s team performed Qurbani in flood affected areas and distributed the meat to those in need so they could have something to enjoy their Eid-ul-Adha. The team has also been surveying various areas for damage and needs, and based on our findings, we will be implementing projects to help poor villagers get back on their feet insha’Allah.

Hidaya’s partner organization, Hidaya Trust, in Pakistan has a strong infrastructure of over 300 team members across 8 district operation offices, and is active year round with over thirty projects and experienced in providing disaster relief throughout the country over the years.

Donate zakat and sadaqah for flood affected families in Paksitan.
