How Hidaya Foundation makes sure all projects including Information Technology Training Project are executed successfully?

Hidaya Foundation uses Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all of its projects to maintain project implementation quality worldwide, in turn minimizing overhead cost.  The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Information Technology Training summarized below:

Step 1: Hidaya Foundation receives funds from donors.

Step 2: Central Filed Operations provides a document to District Operations called Scope of Work (SOW) summarizing funding available for the project, goal to achieve etc, based on 5M (Money, Manpower, Material/machines, Method, Mother Nature) and 5W & 1H (What, Why, Where, When, Who, How).

Step 3: Hidaya Foundation's District and Field Operations run by Hidaya employees and volunteers or partner organizations are advised to document project proposal for each Information Technology Institute with start up plan based on the SOW and a SOP if it is a repeated project.  In case of a new project (completely different in nature), SOP is documented at a later stage after first time project is fully implemented.

Step 4: Project Proposal is reviewed by a minimum of two layers of management and funds are released on approval.

Step 5: Team conducts a survey of selected Areas and surrounding social conditions where Information Technology Training Institute not available.

Step 6: Completes a cost analysis for each Information Technology Institute based on possible students' enrollment and surrounding social conditions.

Step 7: Project Manager Finalizes the timeline for start of Information Technology Training Institute.

Step 8: Finalizes the curriculum.

Step 9: Went to Different High Schools & Colleges for IT Presentation regarding Introduction to Information Technology, for motivation.

Step 10: Hidaya team Conducts written test, interviews, etc. for the hiring of IT teachers.

Step 11: Hidaya team Fill Registration form of those candidates they wish to learn modern Information Technology Training.

Step 12: Hidaya team Conducts written test of students for selecting of students.

Step 13: Completes medical exam for TB, Hepatitis etc. and hire selected teachers & Lab Attendants.

Step 14: Arranges Supplies for each Information Technology Training Institute such as Notes, Test papers.

Step 15: Formulate teams to monitor the operation of all Information Technology Training Institute and evaluate progress of teachers & also Students.

Step 16: Every Fortnight, a Bi-Weekly Status Report is submitted.  In addition, photos, videos, and interviews of beneficiaries are provided regularly to Hidaya Foundation.

Step 17: Every six months, Project Report is submitted to Hidaya Foundation with complete details of accomplishments etc..  In addition, a fresh Project Proposal for the next six months is submitted.  The Project Report includes all details about the project.

Sitara-e-Isaar Awarded to Hidaya Foundation

The sister organization of Hidaya Trust, Hidaya Foundation was awarded Sitara-i-Eisaar (Star of Sacrifice) by the Government of Pakistan, in recognition of the results-oriented relief efforts of both the organizations during the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan. It was awarded during a special ceremony held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, DC.
