In 2010 Hidaya Trust completed training of 42 students at Hidaya Sewing Center. First session began in January 2010 and ended in June 2010. Twentynine out of thirty students graduated the first session. Second session began in July and will end in December 2010.  A total of 41 students are being trained during the second session of sewing classes. This training is designed to help underprivileged individuals to learn skills such as cutting, stitching, embroidery...etc. All the female students coming from economically weak backgrounds were given sewing machines at no cost so they may be able to continue what they learned and be economically stronger in the future

Sitara-e-Isaar Awarded to Hidaya Foundation

The sister organization of Hidaya Trust, Hidaya Foundation was awarded Sitara-i-Eisaar (Star of Sacrifice) by the Government of Pakistan, in recognition of the results-oriented relief efforts of both the organizations during the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan. It was awarded during a special ceremony held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, DC.
