As Salaamu Alaikum (Peace be upon You),

Cyclone storm Sidr struck Bangladesh on the night Thursday, November 15th.  This storm was one of the most violent that has hit this region in 100 years. The death toll from the cyclone instantly reached the thousands and could reach the tens of thousands. More than 3 million people have been left homeless and over 700,000 acres have been damaged or destroyed.  Hidaya Foundation (www.hidayatrust.org) is collecting funds for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the survivors.  After the initial emergency phase has passed, the survivors will need assistance to re-build their homes and their lives.  Please donate to help the victims of this terrible disaster.
